I'm sure Live Target are good frogs, but I don't understand why anyone would want/need that much detail on their frog. The only thing a fish sees is the bottom.

Yeah I agree it doesn't matter what the top of the frog looks like but live target/spro/booyah they all make em with a lot of detail on top. Probably because it looks awesome and gets people to buy it.

Yep. I feel like a white and a black is all you need. Although I have been catching a few on a Spro color called Killer Gill, it's meant to look like a bluegill.

Yeah I like the Booyah Pad Crashers and the Spro hollow bodies best.

The Pad Crashers are just frustrating, have to squeeze out all the water that fills me up and makes them not work as well. Used one this afternoon

I must have bought three of the most 'sealed' pad crashers in the lot. I can fish all my pad crashers for a half hour, easy, without having to squeeze them.

However, I've heard other people say the same thing about 'em.

All of my pad crashers fill up, but they get worse after a couple hook sets...

The bronzeye frogs/shads fill up too.

Don't buy a lunkerhunt they suck.... bait of the year my arse.

I bought a bronzeye shad when they first came out. I like the look of it, but it sits too low in the water for me to see while fishing it sitting down in my kayak.

I am going to first pick up a black SPRO since that seems to be what the ballers are having success on.

My old padcrasher is worn out and the leg skirt material has melted together so it will go in the trash.

My main concern with this post is the soft plastic toads. I am definately going to go back the the Ribbits since the Rage Toads dont seem to be very user friendly.

my hookup ratio on hollow bodies compared to ribbits is too far apart to go back to ribbits

I actually wish I had brought my frog rod the other day at Indian Creek so the jackfish could tear it up as well

Do you ever throw a topwater bait? If so try one then.

Very nice.

Was there any specific reason you used that color frog over the black?

The shad spawn is going on and that's what they were keying on. So I threw that one since it has a white belly.

I like the Spro frogs, but a cheaper alternative is the Academy brand. Cost about half as much and has good hooks. As mentioned earlier, trim about an inch off one of the tails to get better action. We destroyed em last week on LakeFork on frogs. Over 50-60 a day. 3-5 pounders with the biggest being a 7.2. Nothing like watching big fish destroy a frog!! At least 50 lb braid for line IMO.
