Left camp. Pulled memory card before we left and a 8pt and a doe in foodplot yesterday evening. My buddy was 50 yards from them but didnt see them because he chose to hunt a different stand in the woods

How's the hunting there. You north of 1-10? East of stennis exit? Behind stennis airport?

not bad...been seeing deer all year on camera(at night)

loaded with does and hogs some good bucks mixed in...

North of I-10...

I-59 exit 1...we're off texas flat road... literally you can look through the fence from one of our cut overs and see the rocket test stand through some pines...

30 minutes from the house is ideal for me to scout or make evening hunts every day after work if I want to.

Once deer season is over we'll start baiting the hog traps again and can take 2 or 3 a week as long as we keep baiting and checking them...rarely are they empty if baited...all depends on how much/often we want to keep up with them...it's too hard during dear season to monitor traps and bait them and still be able to make a hunt, so we stop during deer season.

Weather channel app says I'm in Pride. Accuweather says Clinton. Either way, 45 degrees. Light north wind. Gonna get chilly. .280 on a planted fire lane in the pines. 300 yards either direction. No idea if it's doe day or not. Only shooting if I plan on putting him in the living room. Doubtful. I swear there's no deer over here. Curse this godforsaken place.

Not too far from you. In a creek bottom that has what few hardwoods are to be found. A lot of trails and scrapes down here. Going for older mature buck.

Same property
Different box on SW corner of cutover hunted this am (NE corner)
Same cannon
Same cold weather
Still looking for big boy

Heard a shot this am to the NE of me not too far.
Found out it's a buck that lived here (many pics), but decided to look for love elsewhere and paid the ultimate price
