I've always said my tacklebox because of how long it took to amass such a broad selection of baits. Some of the lures are very old and kinda sentimental. Rods and reels on the other hand are much more expensive to replace.

Having had it happen, I say my tacklebox. I spent a long time getting that box set up just right for my needs only to have a sticky fingered mofo run off with it. I get attached to certain baits as well.

Rods. I usually just fish from a bag of goodies but the night before.

Rod & Reels. That would be a kick in the nuts, $400+ a pop.

I'd be mostly pissed at them taking my 15 yr old ambassadeur. It's worthless in terms of real money but it was my first reel and I've slain a LOT of fish with it. Now it's just relegated to worm duty but I love it to death.

Everything else is replaceable, and I don't fish with expensive gear so I think the next most pissed off I'd be is just to go through the trouble to find the particular tackle box, clippers, and odds and ends I like that you wouldn't necessarily think to throw in a tackle box when you get a new one.

Judge to the face on both counts. No question.

Keep these guys in a special tackle box. I don't use them anyway. Enough newer lures that I stick with that work.

Im pretty sure that it would cost me about the same to replace the tackle as it would to replace the 5 rods and reels I have... Out of convince it would be a whole lot easier to replace the rods and reels than it would hard plastic, soft plastic and terminal tackle.

Forgot they were in the bed of my truck and had them all stolen while I was in the store. Rods my grandpa had left me and my entire tackle box. Tackle box was far more of a pain in the arse to replace

Rods and reels. I have some 20 year old calcuttas that I would miss dearly. I hate my tackle box. It's always a mess and smells like gulp juice.

That makes sense in saltwater. I'd probably feel differently if thats what I fished a majority of the time.

undoubtedly, my tacklebox. Rods might cost more, but the 7 clear trays of bass baits I have amassed for the specific fishing situations that I encounter plus the 30# of soft plasctics would be a pain to replace. And I couldn't just walk in somewhere and get it all - half the baits are discontinued or only sold certain places/have to be special ordered.

Rods and reels I could walk into BPS with $3000 and replace my 8-10 combos without too much trouble.

Probably the tackle box would be more of a pain in the arse to replace but the rods would be most costly. I typically have 3 rods with me but they would cost in the $200-$300 range each, I could just run to academy and grab a replacement in minutes. The tackle box on the other hand has taken time to sort out to my specific needs and I'd imagine would get pretty pricey to replace as well. Numerous topwater baits at $5-$8 each, probably 20-25 varying colors and sizes, several Paul Brown lures at $8 each, a good variety of saltwater Rat L Traps(which I've yet to use), popping corks aren't cheap, almost a whole tray of Vudu shrimp, those are $6-$8 a pair. Plus those useless Live Target shrimp that I've never used. Not including hooks, jig heads, weights, plastics, etc. I'd be pretty sick if any of my gear was stolen.

Sometimes I kind of wish someone would steal all my rods so I could buy all matching rods/reels. I hate how mismatched my shite looks. And the bright yellow and white rods being produced now really throw me for a loop.

My tackle box was stolen from my vehicle in a restaurant parking lot. In order to turn my loss into my insurance company, I had to itemize the tackle box, Plano boxes, baits, tools etc. When I totaled everything up it came to $1,600.00 and It was all marsh/saltwater equipment. I can't even imagine what a the contents of a bass fisherman's box would total.

I have good rods and reels, but can replace any setup for two to four hundred dollars. Fortunately the EBR Sheriffs Department caught the thief who stole my box. Of course it was missing a couple of the Plano boxes with the most expensive baits.
