Killed it south of Grenada

428 pound Boar

quote:

With the big black boar quartering away from him, Carman put the crosshairs on the last rib and fired, but even after being hit with a .300 Winchester Magnum through the vitals, the pig kept going. Carman fired another shot with the hog running straight away from him and it fell into a depression and expired.

Looked and didn't see it posted.

He definitely a small guy or standing far behind it. I've seen a 680 that looks that size or even smaller

At least it's a reasonable weight. It'll be on facebook as a 1400 lbs. beast this afternoon.

Yeah 1400 lbs and ate two small children before the heroic hunter stopped him dead in his tracks

It's a big pig but the picture was definitely taken in a manor to make him see bigger than he really is. Either that or dude is a midget.

Guess that's better than falling into a depression and then shooting yourself.

I don't think that's a manor. Looks more like a shop or barn.

I do european mounts on hogs and judging by those cutters, there's no way that hog weighs over 350 lbs. It's a nice size hog but by no means is it anything special.
