I received my conceal carry and I am looking for a holster that will be comfortable. I have a Ruger P94 (.40). Ultimately, I may have to bite the "bullet" and get a smaller gun but don't want to drop 500$ on that yet.

Any suggestions would be awesome.

I use Stealthgear Onyx. It's very comfortable and not too hot to wear during the summer.

just go on ebay and find someone w/ good feedback who builds kydex holsters. These are my favorite holster finds and less money.

A Ruger P series isn't going to be great for conceal. My first gun was a P95 and it was heavy. That being said I like my bladetech IWB and I also have an old crossbreed. Are you looking for tuckable, IWB or OWB?

I agree it's probably not going to be good for conceal. Just don't feel like dropping money on a new gun right now. I'd like IWB but doesn't seem like that's going to be very comfortable with a gun that big.

Given it's size and weight, you'll not cc the gun very long before getting a smaller/lighter gun. Consequently, I wouldn't spend much money on a cc holster at this time. Start w/ outside the waistband (you'll need to add 1-2" to your pants to accommodate the gun for IWB carry). I'd get an expensive outside the waist band holster (either leather of kydex, depeding on what you prefer and what's readily available) and start carrying. Get a nicer holster later after you have your "final" gun.

It isn't going to be. The only way I was ever able to carry my P series IWB was with a cheap Uncle Mike's neoprene holster at 2:00. Anything farther back felt like my pants were falling down and it hurt pressed into my back. I currently have an XD-S in 9mm, the 3.3 inch barrel one.

Concealment Express. You can get them on Amazon. I have 1 for my SW MP SHield 9. Love it.

If you haven't settled on you everyday gun yet, then Alien Gear could be a great option. They will exchange the plastics for free. New plastics are only like $15 if I remember correctly.
Really comfortable too. Carrys my shield well.

There are plenty of compact and subcompact 9mm carry guns out there for under $500. What options are you looking at?

For months people have been ordering one of the best single stack 9mms on the market (S&W Shield) for right around $200. You must've just missed the mark on timing.

I just got a SmartCarry holster for my Shield 9mm. Comfortable holster even when sitting. Deep concealment.
