just call the game warden and tell them that you think they killed more than legal allows.

It will be a huge pain in the arse for the guy to prove that they didn't

Sorry it does not work like that. Warden has to prove he did it. Besides, guy and wife killed 8 in total. If they were both licensed, they could kill 12.

Put yourself in their shoes and I doubt many on here would have done differently. From their side... they had lease for x years, been working to improve the land and the herd passing on young bucks, making improvements etc, then there is a disagreement with the lessor and are told they will not get the lease next year as she is giving it to family.....if it is legal....kill it

I didn't hear of any hunting club that tore it up this year

in Clara, MS

We killed 21 between 5 members and our kids(5) and not all of them took a deer

12 bucks...9 does

We are 8 points or better except for the kids, (but no spikes allowed except on a "first deer") and with the rule being for them, that each buck you kill has to be noticeably better/bigger/more mature than your previous one.

So happy I didn't know you in my earlier years, I fear one of your ideas would have got me killed.
Hope he does it and hears some backlash.

That's why you don't let them know during the season. After the season closes you tell them it's time to go.

The club was leased out yet you still got to hunt it a few times a year? How does that work out?

Kind of reminds me of the story my stepdad tells about when they were told the land they hunted in Plain Dealing was being leased the following year. This was in the 80's when hardly anything was leased and we only had a few doe days. He said they killed 19 does and 1 buck that year.

You don't tell people they are loosing their lease until the deer season is over! Not in the beginning or mid season. Last day of deer season you tell them & they have a week to get their stuff out.

Hunted Jackson for some time. Have family that still hunts all around there. Never heard of anyone taking 15 bucks on any amount of property. On 1200 we were maybe good for 3 or so good deer, a hand full of shooters, and culls and does. Sounds like some BS, ora great year for spikes on their property.

From day one they were told by the landowner that if her juvenile grandchildren wanted to hunt they would and they all agreed to the terms. I'd bring my kids out there to hunt occasionally but always had my own place to hunt hard

I can easily see 15 deer being killed off 300 acres if it's hunted pretty regularly. We have averaged 7 deer per year off my 80 acres for the past 7 years. And that's not counting the ones that were wounded by young hunters and never recovered.

I'm not saying it can't be done. But we were DMAP and had 20 doe tags. This was a lease where we took customers for a company (who didn't give a crap about our management). They just wanted to shoot. We never filled those tags once. Yet every year we carefully allocated them as if 20 tags wasn't nearly enough. From that, it makes me realize that 15 would be a lot.

Properties my family hunt there are 1200, 800, 300, and 50 acre properties with a few smaller in between. On none of them has anyone ever come close to 15 bucks.

If you own a piece of property or have a interest in a piece of property, you can't let your lessees know you are kicking them off at the end of the year. If I were to lease a piece of property and spend all my hard earned money on growing big deer, then passing on bucks every year to make sure I had a better chance at a bigger buck the following year and I found out I was losing my lease I will fill my tags.
