First, I have no clue where the launch is located. All i know it's called Barney's. Can anyone drop a pin and show me where this is located?

We are fishing a club bass tourney. I have no clue where to fish outside of the Venetian Isle area flipping docks. Can anyone help a fellow angler and point me in a direction of some green trout? I don't need your spots, just a vicinity to fish if the isle don't produce.

Not sure where Barneys is but I fished in the marsh by Lake Borgne and did well. Look for moving water and grass. Same off of Bayou Bievenue.

on the bayou b marina side or the lake borgne side? both? i'm looking on google maps and they both look like they hold grass in the marsh areas. trying to figure out where this damn barney's launch is so i know how far i have to run.

Inside the wall fish the northern shipping cut docks and shoreline. Chef Pass towards Borgne take left at shortcut intercostal then take First right run 1 mile and then fish the bayou on other side that parallels that cut. Loaded with bass off of grass.

No that's not it. Go up to the cut at the top and take a left then first right cut. That spot is okay though you showed. Also if you don't want to run that far fish the docks in Venetian Isles.

Pretty sure Barney's is the old resturaunt next to South Shore Marina.

Was thinking about launching there this weekend myself. When are you guys having this tourney ?

That launch is just west of the Chef Pass bridge on the south side of 90. Between the Yellow Store (temporarily closed) and the Fort. Barneys was the name of a restaurant there that is nothing but pilings now.

I live nearby buy don't target bass; they seem scattered in almost every grassy area I fish for reds. Try B Daytoe/B Leche; the marshes about halfway between Chef and Bienvenue.

Thanks. That sounds like the place the guys in the club was talking about. They mentioned a restaurant. I'll try all these places you guys are saying. Hope something pans out

Here are some spots to fish:

Dead end that parallels--grass on both sides of this dead end bayou. This is the spot I meant.
30°03'04.5"N 89°46'09.8"W
30.051240, -89.769374

Dead end cut where water over flow is between Chef & Bayou Thomas
30°02'56.2"N 89°49'49.5"W
30.048942, -89.830415

Marquez Canal fish all of the old docks
30°04'10.4"N 89°47'59.4"W
30.069567, -89.799833

Venetian Isles docks off of Bayou Sauvage for bigger bass. A lot of bass tournaments have been won here over the last forty years.
30°04'14.1"N 89°48'54.7"W
30.070588, -89.815187

Michaud Canal start here (water is deep so fish from shoreline to 25 yards out in 20 ft of water)
30°01'53.6"N 89°54'13.0"W
30.031561, -89.903623

This area is full of bass as well.
30°06'24.7"N 89°43'36.0"W
30.106851, -89.726664

Fish by the sunken Barge off of Unknown Pass. Full of grass right now.
30°06'12.0"N 89°43'21.6"W
30.103335, -89.722657

Marquez Canal spots
30°05'02.2"N 89°47'15.7"W

The Hi Tide Bar & Grill is where the old Barney's used to be and before that it was the old Shaefers Restaurant.

Looking for some reds in the ICW marsh this weekend. How's the water back there right now? I tried the Bayou Platte area ponds a couple of months ago but it was pretty dirty then. Thanks!

I owe you a beer sir. Appreciate the help. You helped me more than the guys in our club....which was the entire reason I joined in the first place. If you ever need anything in the Des Allemands, Bayou Black area, let me know
