I saw that article. Mine had just shy of 300k when I sold it. I still see it on the road.

Ahh...no. You do realize those numbers are the PERCENTAGE of vehicles with over 200,000 don't you? If you combine Chevy and GMC, you don't add the percentages numbskull.

Well now that depends on what the percentage is of doesn't it?

Is it percentage of fords on the road? Percentage of vehicles on the road? Percentage of that model on the road?

It's a % of each model for sale on their site. They went through all the vehicle listings, separated them by make and model, and then grouped listed models with 200,000+ miles as a % of the whole. So 4.XXX% of all F250's for sale on their website have 200,000+ miles. I'm taking the results of this "study" with a huge grain of salt. Seems more like a clever advertisement for iseecars.com, or whatever it's called, than a legitimate study as to the most reliable/"tough" vehicles.

92 f250 7.3 with 5 speed sold it with 240k+ miles because it needed glow plugs. Rolled it off every morning, and that's the only problem it ever had including window regulators, radio, clutches etc. Logger bought it and just did a head job on it with over 370k miles on it. This truck was not a highway truck but a cattle, hay, tractor pulling truck. 96 power stroke went over 300k in the same occupation. Bought a 02 cummins 6 speed, got 180 k and dropped that fool. 11 gmc duramax, check engine light and injector problems already at 50k.......Go to the office in a GM, go to work in a Ford.

My dad has '97 with the 7.3, the statement about the truck falling apart around the engine is true. Has replaced the hood, lost the tailgate somewhere going down the road, the doors don't stay closed, the drivers window won't roll down, and the steering wheel is almost worn in two at one place, but that 7.3.

Should have done a lil research, 08-12 duramax I think it is are well known for the injector problems. Now that they have that ironed out it is a damn good motor.

shite the bourbon had 260 on it before I traded it in, still ran like a top, biggest thing it had changed on it was the fuel pump. Was an 01 and was traded in last year.

Didn't read the article but does this include all the clowns that dumped 15k in motor and trams to keep their 6.0 on the road?

Don't need a 3/4 ton but that upcoming GMC all terrain HD has my attention. At my current rate I'll have 100k miles on mine in another 18 months and if they have released the motor that doesn't need carbon juice and the 8 speed I may go to it.

200k with little more than routine maintenance should be expected out of any vehicle built after about 2002 IMO.
