I wear contacts, and they're not an issue at all. I do keep extra lenses and solution in my truck and boat just in case though.

I've worn them since eighth grade, haven't had any problems. The most important advice that I can give is to never mess with them after eating crawfish, no matter how clean you think your hands are.

Do any of you wear contacts? How much of a PITA is it when hunting or fishing? or doing anything for that matter...

I wear contact, for very long periods without removing. Nothing can ruin a fishing tip or hunt faster than losing one. That said, I've never lost one. But I carry an extra lens for each eye and a bottle of eye drops with me. Came in handy once when waiting in line for bait at BSM, a fricking bug flew right into my eye and hit my eyeball. Burned like a mofo. I flushed with drops and was good to go.

I do. Almost always bring an extra just in case.

No in that area Dr. Falgout is the LASIK guru, of course you could come up to Metairie and have more options for LASIK.

Those recommendations were for contact lens help. I can make LASIK recommendations when needed. I have a great surgeon in my office who does our LASIK but that's a haul from Thibodeaux.

I had a yaupon branch stab me in the eye about 3 miles away from my truck one time and lost a contact. I can comfortably say that it is hard walking/navigating through the woods with one eye closed. Scratched my damn eyeball and took the contact right out

Don't go cheap on LASIK.

TLC is your best choice.

A family friend, Dr Dan in Metairie and Mandeville, has been wanting to do lasik on me for a while. Just waiting until I get out of school and have some disposable income.
