that spot there on the main hwy as you pass Fourchon. OMG i usually do very good there. Love night fishing there under that light. I've often done better than most people at the fish cleaning stations that had been fishing from a boat.

BTW,I just added the bait shop there before you get to Elmers Island to the map. Awesome little place and very nice people. Cheap live bait as well and ICE!

We will certainly give those spots a look! I need to get my better half hooked on fishing so that we can get a new boat instead of a horse trailer.
Also, thanks for adding the bait shop. Very convenient. What time do they open?

Coastal (the bait shop right before Elmer's) opens at 5am. But, they are usually there and will sell you bait before that. They almost always have croakers in addition to shrimp. Only time I couldn't get croakers, I was late and arrived at like 6:30 am. Real nice folks there.
Thanks again MJ2!
I should be down there May 30 weekend, right before the June full moon. I'm happy to offer advice to anyone. I'm no expert, but usually do decent.

Leastbay@yahoo.com. Thx
I usually can catch a few nice reds free lining shrimp on the north sides of the road. In the ditch looking water.

MJ2 - you actually wade the "school specs" and "specs" spots? I've fished around the school specs spot, but always assumed it gets deep and/or has strong current and shouldn't wade it. I'll have to try that next time.
