re: Credit Card Rewards and Points Discussion - Dtiger19
Minimum spend: $500 in three months Bonus: 40,000 miles (20k for any domestic r/t including Alaska)
I just priced MSY to DEN and it shows 20,000 points each way. Still a good deal but only 1 domestic round trip. ...

re: Which is harder? Engineering, Med School, or Law School - Dtiger19
This is true. The attrition % for med school is quite small IIRC
That's what they said. It's hard to get in but once you're in they make sure you go to class and stay caught up. In law school they don't care if you're there or not, you just have to pass the test and that's on you. ...

re: Which is harder? Engineering, Med School, or Law School - Dtiger19
I don't know about engineering but I know two doctors that have a law degree. They both told me that the biggest difference between medical school and law school was that in med school you have a big support system to help push you and get you through. In law school you either get it on your own or ...

re: Considering upgrading to a pedal drive kayak...what are my options - Dtiger19
I demoed at pack and paddle and they didn't have the feel free or the coosa. I don't think the Coosa is even out yet. From my understanding the Native drive is not good in grass or shallow water. ...

re: Considering upgrading to a pedal drive kayak...what are my options - Dtiger19
Turning radius and just ease of turning really. After I drove the propel the demo guy asked if it turned better than the Manta Ray, when I told him yes he showed me how they had modified the rudder on the propel. I guess that could be done on the Manta Ray as well to help out. For me though the Mant...

re: Considering upgrading to a pedal drive kayak...what are my options - Dtiger19
I just demoed the Outback, Manta Ray and Slayer last week. I went with the Outback. The drive felt much more comfortable for me. The Native system your actually pedaling, like a bike, instead of pushing with the mirage drive. That just felt awkward for me. The seat on the Outback was also more comfo...

re: Lange is a poor college pitcher - Dtiger19
There are a lot of pitchers in the majors with two pitches. What's your point?
Name me some starting pitchers in the majors that throw only 2 pitches??? Closers and short relief yes but MLB starting pitchers all have more than 2 pitches and all throw multiple variations and speeds ...

re: Jake Frumorgan Update * Not coming. - Dtiger19
Why on earth they thought this was okay in 2016 is beyond me with how far passing games have evolved and how important QB play is.
Maybe because our passing game and QB play was based off 1972 theory. ...

re: Lange has regressed - Dtiger19
I agree with you saying his curve shouldn't be a strike. But when your playing a team as good as TCU and you're supposed to be one of the best pitchers in the nation you have to be able to keep them off balance with something. You can't just expect to throw the FB by them. His FB just isn't that goo...

re: Lange has regressed - Dtiger19
Maybe that's the case some of the time but he struggled tonight because TCU had no regard for him throwing a third pitch. They fouled off or smashed fastballs and laid off the CB. They got his pitch count up by doing just that. He wasn't that wild he just couldn't put people away early in the count ...

re: Lange's struggles are mental I believe. - Dtiger19
Exactly, his FB isn't that dominant at 92-94 mph when its flat and he can't throw a change up. Teams like TCU take the CB and sit on the FB. ...

re: Lange has regressed - Dtiger19
Needs a third pitch. Your not gonna beat teams like TCU without it. Needs to work on his change up. ...

re: Charter fishing Key West recommendations needed - Dtiger19
We went with dreamcatcher out of key west, struck out on tarpon. Caught sharks, lady fish and a few other species. Weather turned the day we fished so it was cloudy and a little rough but we drank and had a good time. ...

re: Fishing recommendations in Costa Rica - Dtiger19
There are snook and other fish on the beaches near rivers, it's fun to bring a small rodnreel for that. Don't expect to buy one there as you will pay 100 bucks for a zebco.
Any advice on lures and techniques for this? I've never caught snook. ...

re: Hobie Mirage Drive 180 - Dtiger19
I went in kinda expecting them to be praising the native drive but it was the exact opposite. The guy still recommended me demoing the slayer and manta ray as well as the Outback and decide for myself but made it clear what he thought the better product was. Apparently they are one of the only place...

re: Hobie Mirage Drive 180 - Dtiger19
I'm in the same boat as you. I'm going to demo the natives and the Hobie Outback. The people at Pack and Paddle (employee and a random customer) said there is no comparison though. They both said the Outback is the superior product and gave me a huge list of reasons why. A big reason was the ease of...
