we had a good time. That was the first fish of the trip. You can tell how stoked he was.

We only threw 8wts. I brought a 10wt down there intending to throw it at cudas and reef fish, but I never even took it out of the case.

Hmm Interesting. Looks like it's all beachside fishing but still not a bad option for the price. Thanks for the tip

We really only found triggers and small snappers by our place. I was hoping to spear some lionfish but I didn't see a single one.

That is a good thing. BTW I have had it fried and in ceviche, it eats pretty well.

For sure. I've also eaten them though, and was hoping to do my part to get fat and help curb the population . A couple of the locals we befriended said the population down there has decreased substantially in the last couple of years, and they're mostly found on the Caribbean side of the island now.

Do they still want $55 for a 24 pack of Sands?

You weren't lying about that shite. A case of Kalik regular is like $48.

Looks like a great trip.

I'm surprised you didn't like Harbour Island. I know it's outrageously expensive, but it's cool none the less.

That's a badass looking trip. I've been looking hard at a DIY bonefish trip but can't find the time to fit it in this summer unfortunately. Bonefishing in Nassau, Bahamas was my first guided flyfishing trip when I was in highschool. Congrats on the DIY catches. It's a lot more rewarding, for me at least, to do a trip that way.

All of those photos were taken with a T4i and a Tokina 11-20 ATX f/2.8 and a Canon 18-135 f/3.5-5.6.

Bad arse trip dude makes me want to look more into going there and checking it out. I heard the Bahama's are trying to pass a law making it illegal to fish without a guide though. Would be a real bummer as I'm all for the do it yourself type of thing too
