My old man turned 60 a couple weeks ago and I didn't get a chance to get him something. Mostly work and out of town. Would like to get him and five friends a chartered hunt killing some ducks. He is old school as they come and would rather shoot ducks landed than flying so they wont be as messed up. Loves to watch them circle as our trigger fingers are twitching. It doesn't have to be six people but any help would be appreciated. Please keep us in Louisiana but we ain't scared. I'm sure he would rather see lots of French ducks but hey, it's 2014.

Know how I know your pops is old school? 'Cause he taught you to call'em French ducks lol.

Not sure where you can kill mallards in La on a guided hunt.

I don't do guided hunts anymore as I want to do it all myself, but my dad still enjoys showing up with gun and shells. He has gone with Doug's the last two weeks one hunt a week and they have limited on Mallards, Grays, Pintail and specks. Hard to ask for much more if you ask me.

I don't know much about Doug's but based on that it would be hard for me not to look further into them.

Coot - old school that's great I hunted w a friends paw paw and he had lanes in his dekes so after the birds landed he would let a few get in the lane before he shot - talk about getting your ducks in a row When he grew up they didn't have much money and shooting a duck per shell was wasteful back then. He gave us hell for shooting birds in the air. Good luck lining up a hunt

Been meaning to do this for my dad this year for Christmas too. Just don't tell him how much you spent; if you have the money and can afford it you'll never regret doing something for your old man.
