Looks like the one digging in the ice chest has a beer funnel in her left hand.

Twin 300s on the back of a pontoon:

Obviously didn't take this picture but a few years ago we were on Dixey Bar and a coast guard plane flew over then several cutters and we finally saw this boat heading out of the bay for sea trials:

One poor bastard cranked his motor and had one of the smaller coast guard boats pull up beside him and with a .50 cal pointed at him was instructed to turn off his motor. I about shite myself, can't imagine what he did.

I saw a jet ski with rod holders in Buras
Me and my son used to fish the spillway on one of these. Used to get crazy looks from the guys with fancy bass boats.

trip 300's

When I purchased my boat, they were building a 35' pontoon with trip Yamaha 350's. They said the owner wanted to be able to hit 40 with 25 people on-board and be able to beach it

Happened more often than you'd believe.

My first vessel was a 327-foot steam-driven cutter that was built in the late 1930's.

Found ourselves broke down and adrift fairly often. Spent a lot of time fishing off that vessel.

I once saw a guy get 3 plywood boxes out of the trunk of his little riced out Honda. Each box was open on one side, and he hinged them all together in a row. It was a compartmentalized bateau made of plywood. He launched that tiny thing south of henderson and started fishing.

There is someone who sells these. I've seen them somewhere on the internet.

There are also plans to build them. Search nesting dinghy. I want to build a version of that to bring on camping trips. There are a few companies out there that make some really nice ones.

I watched a dockwise yacht transport ship come into port, sink itself and start loading up yachts. That was pretty cool.

I've had the .50 cal pointed at me by coasties before. They were protecting some cruise ship that anchored right in the channel between the dock and where I was. I was in a 14 ft sailboat and they were none too happy when I started heading their way.
