I really love the action of my P2000 LEM since it has no safeties whatsoever, but it has a hammer that you press with your thumb while holstering or drawing. The trigger can 'cock' the striker mechanism, but it's connected to the hinged hammer. It's cocked with the hammer down, but it's got a lighter full pull to fire. I don't explain it well, but after researching all pistols it seemed to be the most fool proof...mostly since your thumb rides the bobbed hammer and it absolutely won't fire without it cycling.

I have a P228. Its DA/SA with a decocker, but no safety. I believe HK P30SKS checks all of your boxes. And maybe some other HK models (P2000) with those features available as well. Can't say I know much about them.

Check out the Walter CCP. Its basically a small version of the HK VP9. Its striker fired but has a safety. Very smooth shooting gun and very accurate.

Either a P220 or P245. My P245 is almost certainly the best shooting pistol I will ever own.

Crossbreed Supertuck has a good bit of this market and something that popular is for a reason. Check out Comptac - their Minotaur gets great reviews as well. I think there is a build time on most of these good ones, too. They don't make a whole bunch of configurations at once - so most of them are made to order (unless I'm mistaken).

Had an earring almost cause a Negligent Discherge - was doing tuck & roll from moving vehicle (we slowed to 30 mph for safety) and I executed a tactical cheek weld prematurely.
The Delta SEALS on my team chewed me out for that one.
OP -Do you really think you can reasonably count on being able to thumb back the hammer so your first shot is Single Action ??
No offense, but you might consider investing in some training instead of seeking advice on an outdoor forum (or worse, from a gun rag or from th eaverage clerk in a gun store).
If you get a pistol with a DA/SA trigger, you'll be faced with learning two trigger pulls. Police agencies learned a LONG time ago that this is a poor idea.
So virtually all the major LE agencies have gone to M&Ps, Glocks, SIGs and H-K's that have DAO triggers. And the vast majority carry guns with no external safety.
There are good reasons that LE agencies specify the guns listed above. But there are always folks on the interwebz that feel compelled to (a) reinvent the wheel or (b) recommend techniques and technologies that have been proven outdated for decades.
Anyone who can't learn to shoot a modern DAO trigger is never going to master a DA/SA trigger.
I teach soccer moms every week who have never touched a gun before they arrive at my office. I give every one of them a 1010% money-back guarantee -- if they can't consistently put their shots into a 3"-4" circle (shooting a Glock 19) by the end of the lesson, the lesson is free.
I have never given a free lesson. (Hitting a target with a handgun is really incredibly simple - but it does help to learn some techniques from someone who might know a a little bit about this stuff).
Just my $.02 worth.

Look at the Walther P99c. It is a DA/SA striker fired and has a decocker. No external safety however.

I have recently done a lot of research while looking for a CC pistol. I initially started at the Ruger LC9s, but it just didn't feel good in the hand. I then looked at M&P Shield and Glock 43. They are very similar guns, but I felt like nothing justified the higher price on the Glock. I also looked at the Sig P938, but was immediately turned off by the hammer. I purchased a Shield yesterday on Gunbroker NIB for $334. Bass Pro has them for $449.
The Shield has a safety, but I like having the choice of not using it if I don't want to. I want to get comfortable carrying the gun and also practicing pulling it, turning off safety, and firing. If I can't get the steps down to be confident in switching the safety off, then I will choose to carry it hot, and take the steps to prevent unnecessary firing.
I really wanted a reason to buy a Sig, but there is no easy way to fire it quickly. You either carry it cocked with safety on, or no safety and have to cock it. I like the idea of carrying with no safety if I so choose, and the P938 doesn't give me that option.
Now I need recs on a IWB holster for the Shield. I have looked at Crossbreed online but that big piece of leather seems rather bulky. The reviews say they are the best though.
