Can't decide between a Buck Mark, 22/45, MKIII/IV, or S&W SW22.

I've probably handled the Ruger 22/45 MKIII and the Buckmark 1000 times. I love both and I've always wanted one but I can't seem to make up my mind which one. So I end up getting neither. Now the S&W SW22 Victory came along last year and it's added a 3rd pistol to the fold. Then believe it or not I actually like the way the Beretta Neos sits in my hand better than the other 3 but I'm totally put off by the way it looks. I'm going to go fondle them again during lunch and see if I come back with one.

New Ruger Mark IVs are out, too

I like their threaded barrel version but I'm not sure how I feel about the bronze color yet

If you get a Buckmark or MK IV, you have to get one of these. Makes range days great again.

I am in the same boat sorta. A while back I was set on the 22/45lite but decided to wait for the new mark IV. Now the Victory is out too.

If I got a Victory 22 I would get one of these threaded barrels...looks so

I have a Buckmark. I've had it for probably 20yrs. I love the gun and since I got a silencer/suppressor for it I put a tactical solutions barrel on it and love it even more now.

The new barrel cut the weight in half.

My brother has an old MK1 or 2 and it's an amazing gun and I would have a hard time talking you out of the new MK4

I just don't know enough about the S&W yet.

I will say that I have an S&W M&P compact .22 that I carry with me more than anything else (in .22s in the woods). It's threaded as well but nowhere near as accurate as the buckmark.

I have a Ruger Mark II bull barrel and a Browning BuckMark. They are both about the same regarding accuracy, the Ruger might have a better trigger.

For cleaning, the BuckMark beats the Ruger since it has an open face design.

Got rid of my M&P for the same reason. Nowhere near the accuracy of my buddies Ruger

Went and fondled the guns again at lunch.

S&W SW22. There is so much to like about it on paper. Just doesn't feel right in my hand. I think it's the way the bottom of the grip tapers in. It doesn't give me a positive grip pressure on the heel of my hand. Makes the grip feel skinnier than it is. Feels pretty heavy too. If I went with the SW22 I would need new grips.

22/45. After handling all the pistols I've come to the conclusion I point more naturally with the greater grip angle. So preference is for a MK series.

MKIII/MKIV. No one around here has the MKIV in stock. After seeing how easy it is to break down a MKIV I think I would prefer that over a MKIII. I like the way the MKIII feels and I'm leaning that way if I can find one. Guess I could order one online but would still like to handle one first. I'm pretty sure between those 3 the MKIV is what I'm going to go with now.

I did walk out of the store with this.

Got it, a 400 round box of Browning BPR 40gr 22LR for around $290 out the door with tax. My boss has one and I've shot it a ton. Trigger is heavy and creepy but I shoot it straight and can work the dueling tree faster with it than any other pistol I've shot. Probably the long sight radius over my normal 4-5" pistols. It's like a Glock: I hate that they fit my hand so well and I shoot them so well because I think they are butt ugly Will give me something to play with while MKIV window shop. I've never shot a pistol with an any type of optic/red dot on it and I'd like to put one on here to give it a try. Anyone have a pistol sight they could suggest?

I just broke out the stones. I'll be doing some polishing before I even shoot it.

See if you can find yourself a S&W 622.

My FIL has several and they are pretty awesome.

I wondered the same thing they are there...between the ports and the flutes. The tolerances are so tight it just about disappears.

I have an old S&W 422 and love it, not much impressed with the newer ones. Also have a Buckmark that I like.

the Rugers were always just a bit heavy for my taste in the ones I have handled, JMHO

I would have bought a Turnbull MkIV. It's on my list right now.

Have the ruger mkiii ss and it is an absolute tack driver....perfectly balanced gun and once you watch a couple YouTube videos on tear down it is not that bad at all....I wouldn't change a thing about it...its deadly accurate and has brought me back to the basics of shooting open sights again...shooting crosshairs all these years, took me a while to get back to shooting crosshairs....my one complaint would be there's not a great holster for it and it's such a pretty gun, I find it hard to carry...I would like an accurate .22 that would holster well on the thigh and I wouldn't care when dust/briars are all over it doing work around my place....my .02

I have a Ruger 22/45 and I love it! I originally bought it because the grip angle is the same as my 1911 and is great to practice with. The only negative is that it is a PITA to take down to clean! I've heard the newer models are easier.
