Better casing and milling. Smooth surfaces inside and out, unlike the rough surfaces of Lodge cast iron cookware. It is similar to the finish on vintage/antique cast iron cookware, It's a nice skillet....

You can get a Shimano Sedona 2500 for $65 and probably find a medium action 6.5' rod for $50. It will work just fine for a summer or two. Get the Stradic if you want to upgrade the reel....

I don't boil mine. I soak mine for 30 minutes or so and it makes them more pliable for filling Crawfish Bisque Tip: Put stuffing in a quart ziplock, cut a corner and squeeze stuffing into shells like a pastry bag....
