This damn terrier sucks at finding rodents. I thought terriers were breed to kill small animals. All mine does is dig in one spot and makes a mess

You probably have grubs or some other food source. The only way to get rid of them is to eliminate the food source

Exactly what Raz4back said. Use a chemical like Merit on your yard to kill all of the grub worms. Here in north Alabama Japanese beetle grubs overwinter in yards. I have seen yards sprayed that you could actually smell the worms when they died because there were so many of them.

Labradors.

They do work but tear the yard up more than the moles

I had mole problems, tried to use all the poisons to no avail. Then I got the tomcat mole traps from lowes and killed all of them in a week!

I appreciate all the responses. I talked to one of my neighbors today and she said she's had them in her yard pretty bad for a few years. The people in my house before me had dogs and no mole problem. It looks like they spread out since no more dogs. I think it will be a losing battle but I'm going to go with traps so I can have the satisfaction of seeing the fruits of my labor.

I had a 115# American Staffordshire Bull Terrier that was a mole and wood rat killing machine. He would run in my shed where I used to live in Gonzales. All hell would break loose....knocked my dirt bike over a few times....then he would come running out and drop it right in front of my feet.

The smoke bombs don't do shite. I've had em for a few years now and can't get rid of em. My gsp has at least given up digging all the tunnels up because that bitch hasn't caught the first one.

I walked outside yesterday and my chessie had 3 moles in a pile right by my truck. It's like he put them there to make sure I would see them. He's been the best way to get rid of them that I've found so far.
I'll rent him out but he ain't cheap
