Looking for something within an hour driving range to pop a tent with some nice trails and playground equipment. Water park is not desired as they are likely closed this time of year anyway and looking to do just outdoor stuff for 4 year old.

Tunica Hills has a tent/cabin site. Within a couple miles of Clark Creek Natural Area, which has trails, streams and waterfalls.

Indian Creek primitive area. Little farther than an hour though

Lake Fausse Point has some nice camp sites. I like the ones you have to take a boat to. You can rent a canoe if you don't have a boat.

More like 2hours, but either Indian Creek Primative Area or anywhere on the Wild Azalea Trail in Kisatchie. I imagine the WAT is in full bloom this time of year and there's a big camping area near the wild azalea seep off not far from a parking area. Plenty of hiking on WAT. Indian Creek is beautiful and good fishing if you have a kayak or canoe too.

I will say that camping in Kisatchie is a bit more risky this time of year too because of turkey season. Wear bright colors

Also, Fountainebleau State Park. Nice trails as well as the beach on Lake P.
