I shot the Beretta Px4 Storm the other day and loved, but my gun buddies all seem to hate it. They claim it has feeding issues. It seems that the gun is one of those love or hate guns. I must state that these guys are all Glock guys.

Does anyone have one? Likes, Dislikes...

I seriously considering buying it but just want some feed back.

Good gun. I just can't stand that huge safety - large, hard to operate, and the sharp edges cut into my thumb

I have bear paws for hands so the safety didn't bother me. It is actually one of the things I like about Beretta

I have one. I wanted a 9 just to have a 9 and I wanted something with a rail.

Shoots anything you put in it and I've never had a FTF or a FTE, something I can't say about my Ed Brown.

I spent a lot of time researching handguns before I bought one. I heard and read all the reviews and videos. Got stressed about it and everything. Finally just went to a gun shop and handled all the guns that I was researching. Guess what? The gun I went in researching, I hated the way it felt but everyone said it was the best. (Glock). Left with a CZ75. Felt better and is a proven design. Any big name company usually don't put out crap. Get what feels good to you and be happy. People have strong opinions on what THEY have. Get what you like.

People also have tainted opinions that don't represent the real world properly. For example, I asked about a beretta 92 and a px4 to someone that handles the 92 a lot(military) he bashed that gun so bad because he only had experience with old worn out range guns then bashed the px4 because it was the same company.

I thought the gun was hideous at first, but it doesn't look that bad to me anymore. It feels really good in the hand. Very comfortable. A very underrated gun, imo.

I like that it is hammer fired. Usually better trigger than striker fired with the exception of a few. I like the ability to carry cocked and locked.

Does it also have a decocker if pressed down?

I have one in .40, but i really havent shot it enough to give a valid opinion to be honest. I will say that i shot my buddies m&p .40, and of the two, i was able to shooot the m&p more acurately. Thats not a knock on the px4 though, just personal experience.

anyway, OP

i have a Px4 storm sub-compact as my home den pistol, i must say for the money that it is probably the best DA pistol out there besides for the CZ-75 po-1

seriously look at the CZ-USA 75 po-1

I had the 40 and loved it. Great gun that ate everything I feed it. I sold it when I started reloading....didn't want to buy the extra die for just one gun. I would not hesitate to buy again.

I have one in .45, I like it. I haven't had any feeding issues with it. Slide loosens up nicely after a few hundred rounds and it stays level and on target. The big fat trigger does take some getting used to, but I'm sure there's something better out there to replace it with, but I'm not that picky. Extra mags are a little pricey.
