That sucks. Cabelas brand label is superior to bass pro brand.

Waiting for this to go through because I have Cabela's and Bass pro gift cards and I want to use them at one place.

With less competition when and if this happens, their prices will most likely go up and your cards will ultimately have less buying power. Just sayin. This ain't a good thing by any means.

I certainly hope youre not trying to say that RedHead is even in the same ballpark as Cabela's brand hunting clothing? They aren't even close to the same quality. I would put Cabela's clothing up against any of the overpriced common brand stuff you can find at Academy.

Amen!
the only merchandise BP really seems interested in selling/promoting is their own redhead gear, weather or not its any good compared to other brands.

It's whatever... the business model simply doesn't work anymore. The lore of walking into this big giant store with a bunch of animal mounts and fish tanks is not enough to get me to pay for overpriced goods. The only reason I ever buy anything from either cabelas or bps was because I had a gift card.

I buy cabelas stuff all the time just not at that store
the store in Gonzales is terrible compared to the store BPS built
it's an oversized Cracker Barrel

there are many other options besides BP and Cabelas. The internet will keep their prices honest IMO

I can't speak for Cabelas, but Bass pro would do so much better if they stopped pushing their Redhead and BPS brand garbage as 80% of what they sell in certain items. Its a complete waste of time to go to their smaller stores to look for hunting clothes because its their overpriced cheaply made Redhead stuff and then one or two items of high end clothes, with nothing in between. The only nice thing about them is their Free ship to store so the selection is whatever they carry, but it sucks to have to hope its what I want.

Cabela's is FAR superior to Bass Pro as far as quality gear goes. Going to buy hunting gear from Bass Pro is like shopping at walmart for hunting gear. Redhead is shite. Customer service at Cabela's is also 1000 times better than BPS.

If they close the Gonzales Cabela's, I'll be very upset.
