Polar bear is the YETI of soft side coolers

I don't think it's waaaay overpriced compared to comparable coolers.

Buy direct from polar bear. polarbearcoolers.com. Every year in November they email a code for "2 for 1". I buy these for customers every year as xmas gifts. Every now and then one might leak but they are buy far, the best soft side on the market.

Why not just use the free ones from Oak Grove Hunting Club?

I will do this for sure. I wouldn't be opposed to having another one. And it would make a pretty good gift.

I was looking at the AO coolers when I bought this one, I just thought this fabric would hold up better than the vinyl. That wasn't based on anything, just what I thought at the time.

i've had a polar bear 12 pack for about 3-4 years. pulled it out to use a couple of weeks ago, and it started leaking out the bottom, through the fabric, as soon as the ice started melting. that has never happened before; i'm guessing the lining has a puncture but i haven't had a chance to inspect it yet.

overall, i've really liked it; have used it quite a bit over the years. i may take a look at the AO coolers, however, when i look into replacing this one.

Will they let you buy a 24 pack cooler and get the 12 pack as your 2nd one?

the real question is: how tough is the interior>? Can it withstand several redfish and trout flopping around and not leak?

I use the $9 Cali Innovations bag from Sam's. After a couple of trips, it leaks, but it's cheap and easily replaceable. You just have to remember not to store it inside the car full of fish, as the fishwater stank then gets inside your vehicle. Have thought about the more expensive models, but why spend that much if they can't withstand the redfish test.

Its a vinyl liner. Good luck with any soft ice chest with sharp objects. Use it for food and drinks like it is intended.

got one of those as a groomsman gift with my name on it. Have been using it for 5 years now. works great for holding enough beers for my walk from the hayfield lots to the tailgate during football season.

Redfish test? It's for food/drinks, might as well run some buckshot through it while you're at it.

It may be the YETI of soft sides, but that's asking a lot!

I know a lot of people use soft sided fish bags for keeping fish. That might be more what you're looking for.

Polar bears are great. Be careful about putting anything sharp in it like crushed cans or bottle caps and it should last for years.

The AO coolers are money.

I highly recommend them. They are great for vacations, tailgating, road trips, ball games....I am not alpha enough to make ms nelatf carry the roadie....she can carry the AO.
