I've seen on the internet that people have insulated them several different ways. Used sprays, closed cell insulation and different types of radiant barriers. It won't be long until I pick something and give it a shot.

For the price of those yaks, I believe they should come insulated from the factory.

I think I am gonna do something similar to the port hatch on my bay boat so I can use it as an ice chest. Gonna buy a couple bottles of Great Stuff and go to town.

My front storage sucks donkeys.

90% of front storage sux. Unless you buy the Hobie. Picture the stank inside your hull with melted ice and fish slime, plus 100 degree temps.

I have the prefect bag for you. Stores up front. Expensive though. I have to bring Ms. Alex the cart, so I will show that to you.

was that cooler what another poster offered to sell you for a bazillion $?

Picture the wind profile on that thing.

Now that you have a yak, you should join LKFC so you can return to tournament fishing.

I did this for my pompano. Except I only mounted two holders.

For those of you complaining about tackle storage ask yourself this, "how much of that shite do you actually use?"

I downsized to a simple Plano box and a jar of gulps and catch just as many fish as when I took a full tackle bag. And my Plano bungees in right behind me in front of the cooler.

8 rodholders?!?! I don't even carry that many poles on a big boat.

I do like the change of the hinge on the lid for easy access even when carried sideways. Smart.
