I loved my 4-wheeler but I have the mid-sized ranger now and would never go back to a 4-wheeler. The bed makes it so much more useful than a 4-wheeler ever was.

I will say that I have 2 kids that go hunting with me regularly and when they go I'm taking more stuff to the blind.

The only problem is sometimes I like to punch the woods with the 4 wheeler. Can it be done with a UTV?

I have thought about an old 4 wheel drive truck. Can get to all of two of my stands easily with one and can find em cheap

Japanese mini truck FTW. It's like a UTV, ATV and Ford Ranger had a devil's three way and this is what happened.

Haven't had any issues doing that in my ranger.

The skid plate on the bottom actually helps protect it.

Polaris. It's the 500 mid size. I like it because it narrower than the full size. Gets through the woods better.

I like UTVs better. My kubota 1140 is perfect for what we use it for. 4-5 guys wearing waders can fit comfortably, plenty of room in the bed for all the guns, shells, etc.. It gets everybody to the blind in one trip.

I'm gonna be having the same issues pretty soon. 4-wheeler or Gator like vehicle. Lots of rocky terrain up here for deer hunting...if I get back into that. Seems the side by sides would be more comfortable...but don't know about the terrain handling.

I think id get a mini truck or something like a suzuki samurai before id spend the money on a utv. they are way overpriced for what they are IMHO.

Catahoula Lake eats those big, yuppy UTV's. You better have a bad arse four wheeler to take on the real elements!
