I'm not gonna judge the guy on the kill but only on him sending his pic into this Facebook page to brag. If you're gonna do that then be ready for criticism

What got my attention the most is the body on that deer. As one comment said that's a hell of a rack on what looks like a yearling body

His dog is bigger than the deer.

Definitely not something to brag about.

Post worthy if only to show evidence of munchkin deer species.

I can't decide if that buck would have been the biggest buck ever or stayed the smallest 8 point ever

I saw one like this one year as a 1.5 yr old. The president of our lease, who always downgrades everybody's kills because they're too small, killed it the next year as an 11 pt. Tiny rack and body still.

Ole baw must've been pretty proud to put that on the Big Buck Registry.
You never know - may be his first deer ever.

That right eyeguard is awesome, I haven't seen another one spiral like that. My 2nd buck ever did that. Barbour County, AL

Bucks bodies run small in Ark. Weve killed and handful of fully mature deer. All under 150 and one was 105. Just makes the rack look even bigger lol.

maybe the guy was just proud? I dont shame anyone for what they kill. If they are happy with it, thats all that matters. Everyone is not as fortunate to have thousands of acres, or high fence to let deer grow. Life is too short to say "ill let it grow a year" and hunt small acres only to have your neighbor shoot it. It doesnt seem like this guy was bragging or boasting, just happy with his kill.

Something really wrong with that deer. Needs about 5 more years to grow.

What part of Arkansas do you hunt? At our club in Drew County the good bucks are 160-170# and younger legal ones are 130ish.

Small deer either way, if that dude is 250ish then the buck is barely over 100#.

looks like they were hunting with dogs with a shotgun, so probably not a lot of quality management going on, but who cares, it was legal and he is happy with it

Guess nobody hunts Leaf River WMA here. That's a typical size for south MS. 131 deer had been checked in as of Saturday evening and only 8 were over 120lbs with the largest weighing 135.
