I know you would prefer having a dog under 1 year, but calling breeders to find a retired female may be a good option.

What happened here?
Shooting cripples with the dog on the way out. She's not gun shy, but her fire got dampened a lot.

I'm in Church Point and might be willing to help you out with that hunting dog.
When you say she's in a funk, what's going on?
BTW looking to buy one anyway but if she needs help I may give it a shot with my kids

Look up NOLA Lab Rescue. I follow them on FB, and they're always trying to rehome dogs that were from someone that passed away, etc.

I am trying to find someone to take mine. He's half lab half golden retriever. Great dog but I am working out of town now and it's too much to handle for my wife with three kids and fourth due in March. He was born on New Years eve last year so less than a year old. Shoot me an email if you're interested

Dude, just because I'm getting rid of my lab doesn't mean I want it to die. Sounds to me like you need to find another breed. And learn to spell.

Dude, on this board, we are sportsmen. We don't pull that crap here. Take it to the OT.

OP, keep an eye out on craigslist. Some times people ask my daughter if they know of anyone looking for a lab. I will let her know if one comes up, I will let you know.

I know it. I hate to get rid of him but it's just too much for the wife. And it's not fair to the pup to keep him in the kennel all day. Hopefully I can find him a good home

Yea, bro, we're sportsmen. We only relax our standards and shite talking when snakes are involved.
