We had the same trouble with the constant ear infections. Got tubes and adnoids out still no better. Ended up at immunologist my daughter was missing some parts of her vaccines. Got a booster vaccine cleared up in a couple weeks been fine every since.
She is 12 now and has not had an ear infection...

I recommend getting a rescue. There is a group in Lafayette. Louisiana German shorthaired pointer rescue. Facebook page. I recently got a 2.5 year old male from them. House broken and pretty much obidence trained.
They currently have a couple available. Also they are connected to texasgsp.org
