Bite picked up in Leeville yesterday about 3pm. I was in a school of 1,000's of 3-4lb gafftops feeding on the surface. 16"-22" trout were surrounding the school. Picked up a nice box and only had to weed through a handful of gaffs.
All on live cochahoe, would not take anything else.

So I went there today to that spot, trolling motor broke, bait died because aerator went out on the way, and caught a 5 man limit of 14" redfish on the way in. Then got caught in rain. Worst trip in about 5 years. One 18" trout, one lost by the boat, 2 keeper reds.

We only ended up with a handful of trout today. Only really heard two good trout reports today.

Had our limit of snaps in 20min, lost 2 cobia at the boat. Wife landed a 61lber tho. Not star registered

Limit of reds marsh north of Hwy 1. Never left sight of the camp. Went to Elmers at noon and caught a few dink trout in the surf. Man I love it down here.

I got 14 trout this morning and my buddy got 13, same place as yesterday, all on topwaters. Once the tide peaked the bite shut down.
