So I keep in contact with the man I bought my dog from, sending him pics of the hunts and updating him, and he reads the board sometimes. He had never had any of his pups, to his knowledge, that had been used for hunting. He emailed me yesterday to thank me for the update, and said he had another litter almost ready. He wanted to let me know if i knew anyone that wanted a pup that would use it for hunting or a family pet. I figured some of you good ol Boys would like one. She is a natural pointer, but swims like a fish and will retrieve. I took her duck hunting but she wasn't used to the dead birds, so she disappointed me. More so that I hadn't worked her for ducks more as a puppy. Let me know if you are interested and I will put yall in contact.

She sheds in little fur balls during the summer. Right now she has a full thick coat. Long leg and tail tassels.

She is Irish setter/ Brittany spaniel mix

I think he charged me 100 or 150 I can't remember. She had 2 rounds of shots when we got her.. she weighs about 45 lbs and is about the height/Size of a full Brittany. My buddy has a male that is probably 60 and looks more like a setter.. she is super playful, almost to a fault lol

And yea he crossed his two registered dogs. It happened accidentally the first time, and the pups came out so great, he has had 2 more litters.

That is a fine looking dog. What do y'all call them, Britney Setters?

I'm pretty certain nobody would care, especially me.

I call her an Irish Brittany.

Some folks might would say she is a mutt.

I think I would much prefer that cross to a straight Irish Setter--every setter I have ever been around is a little crazy till they are two or three years old. Old ones are great. I have always wanted one. Crossing with the brittany is a great idea.

40 lbs is good sized dog too.

Yeah I think in these days of mixing breeds to make certain looks/shapes/sizes/demeanor, the setter/spaniel combo would make a great breed. If I lived in the country and could have 2 dogs, I would be getting another.
