always tough in these pics due to lack of good comparison objects in frame.

However, based on grass and sticks, size of rooted dirt piles, and how low the camera is, Im gonna say that is a 150 to 180 lb boar in those pics.

if that is only 1/2 50 lb bag, that hog is barely 150

and if you don't have dogs running around, I would consider a snare with a deer release button on a trail you know he is using or simply hunt him with a rifle

for the sighted piglets, set out a trap baited with dry corn and a fruit flavored mineral lick. after a week rig the trap and check it daily.

see the trapping thread in the stickied thread above.

Yea id say 150 at most. He is very lean.

On my MIL place they had no pigs. Saw some mud on trees at end of season 2 years ago. Last season they killed 4 boars all over 200 but never saw a sow. I made a small hike last weekend and saw tracks from quarter size to baseball size.

One I would leave in the woods after I killed it. Sucker has a pecker and useless at that size.

Fish, you and I see eye to eye often but I have to disagree with you here. Hog meat is good from sow or boar as long as you get it processed timely.

BP, this time of the year, one has about 20 minutes to clean one before it goes bad. I tried hogs over 100 lbs here and they get real strong tasting. Maybe what they are eating here. I even just pulled the back strap and that was strong tasting.

Them SOB's are all over the place in my yard. Told my son and SIL to start killing them off. I don't think I can wait till it cools off. Afraid one is going to hit one of my dogs.

possibly. different flora and fauna there. I would think lots of crawfish would make em taste pretty bad. lol

All the pigs I see this time of year seem to be suffering from the summer heat. The sows are especially in bad shape as the piglets are really drawing them down.
