Wherever the birds are. Didn't get into a lease this year, so I took that nice trip up to KS. Have leased most previous years in Welsh/Roanoke, Angelina Plantation, LA Delta Plantation, etc.

Nice bunch of birds there!
I got skunked this morning, in more than one way. First there was someone already in the spot I wanted.
There were just about zero birds this morning. I really only saw 10 or fewer wood ducks that were all too far.
Then I discovered that the stink I had been smelling was not the mud but a dead possum in the root ball I was sitting on.
Just awesome! I was back at the truck at 8:10am.

Blind got some mallards but I did not hit a damn one. Most spoons in the sky that I have ever seen.

I have hunted 3 times and killed a limit on my first hunt. My other 2 hunts were fricking awful!
