I like the Yakima tie downs. they've got the rubber cover over the hardware and clips for the extra strap.

I missed most of the original thread. Are there still rooms? Where are y'all staying? How much they run?

BayouBrawl cabin has a few spots left. Delacroix Lodge - $40/person for 4 people.

So how is the fishing out there this time of year? Do you have to make the long run out to black bay and the outer islands?

Again, I haven't been out there myself, but the people who did go out there for our rodeos generally caught more and bigger fish.

That's not to say there aren't fish inland. In our first rodeo there 3 years ago, my boat caught more speckle trout than any boat that came in. None of them made the leader board but I was just looking to stock the freezer and, well, mission accomplished.

I'll ride down there after work one day this week and take some pics. I know the sweetwater cabins are raised and there's plenty of room under them. Not sure about seating and tables and such there. It's only a 20 minute drive from where I'm working.

As I stated, we do our work fishing tournaments there. There are maybe 6-8 picnic tables under their raised Lodge. Not sure about their cooking facilities though. I know there was a grill and fryer but I believe they only allow staff to use them when cooking for tournament participants.

Does anyone have a mosquito fogging machine to bring on the trip? I've got a feeling that it will be needed once the sun goes down each evening.

Thermacell. Bring your own and with enough of them, better than a fogger. No fumes

I have three or four refills I keep in my dry bag.

After that tidbit of information, I will not be bringing tackle of any kind. Only miller lites.

You damn sure won't need hooks!!!

Another important thing to note is the fact that there is absolutely no sense in racing to get on the water at daylight. Let the Friday evening Tomfoolery begin!!!
