Reality is, I DGAF about price when I bought myself a watch for my 40th birthday. It was less than $1k, but the wait time was a bitch. Nothing really would take its place.

For a casual watch I agree...for something that was technical in nature it might be different. My GPS running watch was over $300.

I keep the 2k in the bank and check my phone for the time like everyone else in the world that isn't just trying to waste money on a overpriced watch to show people that you spent money.
