I own a Yeti, a purple and gold one as a matter of fact.

It looks grand sitting on my back patio. It's too heavy to take most places. I have some kinda Coleman that fits under my boat seat better.

Before you invest in any of them, consider if the weight will actually discourage you from using it at all... much less the cost/risk of it getting stolen.

AND... it almost Christmas. Is there anyone in your life that might want to give you a gift of about this value?

Mine came as a gift, and was purchased at United Way auction, so not a total waste.

Ok, so I won a Yeti 20 Hopper cooler in a drawing the other day. Brand spanking new, still has the tags on it. I see that they retail for $300 at Academy and Amazon. Personally, I don't have the need for a $300 cooler. Anyone in the market for one of these? I'd sell it for $200, save you $100 with the tax and all, at least if you bought it from Academy. If interested, email me at supadave3@gmail.com

I'll Just Leave This Here

Because the Yeti fanbase melts quicker than either of these.

I have a Pelican, which I find has ice retention on the lower end of these types of coolers. I attribute this to the latches that do not actually pull the lid down. They merely keep it closed. It is far heavier for it's storage volume than most (my 45 Qt. weighs more than 40lb empty). Nevertheless, it is the most rugged cooler I've ever come across. I am a very big guy, and I routinely stand on it all the time, with no ill effects. I can't even seem to get the thing dirty. I think I might get a second, smaller cooler at some point though, as this one is just way to heavy to put in the back of the car just to go on a day trip to buy boudin.

No idea. The cooler sitting in our garage literally washed up on the beach by our condo after a storm. Probably fell off some boat miles away. We left it on our dock for a few days just in case it came off someone's dock nearby, but no one came and got it, so we brought it home. I don't know if it's a Yeti, but it looks like the Yeti in one of these links. Beat the frick up tho.

My RTIC softpak 30 came in over the weekend. It was on backorder for a while. The thing looks and feels solid.

I like the way the top opens vs the yeti soft that my neighbor has.

Just wondering how long it will take for the incredible plastic smell to wear off of the inside.

I've still got ice in my Ozark Trail tumbler that I put in back when the OP was posted. Fact.

It's so odd to me that nobody I know will admit to paying for their yeti.

I'm glad we managed to draw out the only person who will admit to spending their own money on a Yeti product

K2 looks like the best heavy duty cooler.

I got a free 20qt. Used t this weekend. Many cold beers came and went thru it this weekend and it sill has a lot of ice in it.

I also have the Igloo sportsman. Keeps ice easy up to a week.

I paid for mine, but I like pissing away money! It does work as advertised though... 1 bag of ice for an entire weekend camping trip.

Igloo sucks! What kind of collet doesn't have a basic tumbler Cup with logo emblazed on it?

I've heard Yeti coolers are aphrodisiacs!!!!!

Anyone who brags about their beer cooler and sticks a bumper sticker on their truck is a little "off."

Just my $.02.
