I have one of these that I got from the Igloo factory sale for $190 last year and it works great. It's a 70 quart.

Yetis are not a real product. They just sell stickers, aka the Salt Life business model.

Engal is the first company I've sen that has a soft back pack cooler. Yeti has the Hopper but $300 for a soft walled cooler is way too much. Just need it for golf or tailgating. Typical ones you see leak way too much. Does anyone have any other recs for the soft sided bags?

Not really. I don't own a Yeti or any of the others, not because I can't afford them, but because they don't make sense. I have never had a problem with a $40 cooler holding ice long enough. On the few multi-day trips I've needed them, I just went and bought a couple more bags of ice. And, I don't need a fork lift to move my large cooler.

For those who love them, what situations are you using them in? Multiple days far from civilization is all I can think of.

I can't justify a yeti either even though I could afford one

Yet people are automatically douchebags for owning them.

Personally, I couldn't care less about the length of time it holds ice. I like my yeti because it is practically indestructible.

I recall miltiple times throwing away a $40 igloo "cube" after 3-4 tailgates because people would sit on them.
