I live in a mountain house, so I guess I made my choice.

Mountain for sure. Peace and Tranquility over trash and flip flops.

Mountain people are generally less trashy than beach people

Mountain all day, especially along a creek, etc.

I just moved to Conway. I'm right between both Hamilton and Greers Ferry. Both are awesome.

Seems like a mountain home would be more private. I'm going with that.

Mountain house and it is not even close for me. There is nothing I like better than standing in an icy cold high mountain stream fly fishing. A mountain house is useable many more months of the year.

We wanted Colorado. We could afford Arkansas.

For real it is beautiful though.

Beach house for sure, although I would love to vacation regularly to a mountain cabin.

I've had both ... until just recently.

I sold the house on the Isle of Palms.

I kept the house near Roan Mountain.

The decision was a no-brainer on so many levels.

We've done this before.

OT says mountains by a landslide.

Better choice is a nice Southern fresh water lake, where you can actually swim without getting blue balls. For example, Smith Mountain lake in Virginia below. I keep my boat at Lake Anna and can see mountains from the north end, but not as picturesque as this.

Mountain for shtf scenario. Beach, nowhere to hide or defend yourself. Mob will be taking beach owners and their family out in no time
