Probably not the right emoji to use but that's great what you've done. Not only for your physical and mental health, but it's also damn good on the wallet.

Dude. I was real bad. I’d start at like 8 in the morning and down 8-10 bud tall boys everyday. And way more on the weekends. My wife was ill and if something would have happened to her I would not have been able to help. Add some Xanax and that was my daily routine. I quit cold Turkey. Just will power and my higher power.

That is like 16 ounces.
8 shots.
That’s doing some damage.

While we're here... Does having two drinks (about 3-4 oz) of bourbon a night sound any alarms?

Asking for a friend.

1/2 a pint per night is kinda a lot tho lol. A 5th is 1.5 pints. He’s drinking 2 5ths per week.

Idk who you are anyone reading this, but if you’re in your 30s and you think 2 5ths a week isn’t a lot then you need to reflect on your life/health.

I believe it's just under 10 but I don't disagree. All the baws here have disagreed with me so I've admitted I was dead wrong. There's been a few posts calling me an alcoholic. If drinking 2 drinks between Jan 1 to July 4 (If I even drink that day) is an alcoholic, then Lord help us all. I have designated drinking days

Christmas Eve, I actually do get drunk. Christmas day, a drink or 2, New Year's Eve, a drink or 2. Typically don't drink SuperBowl. July 4 a drink or 2. Wife's bday in October, 1 drink, my bday in November, 1 Old Fashioned. Again, if that's alcoholism, then I'll accept it.

I think most experts would tell you there is no “safe amount “ to drink. It used to be considered ok or even healthy to be a light or moderate drinker. Those days are gone. Research shows any amount of alcohol has a deleterious effect on your health.

Not true, it’s been shown that having a drink a day has health benefits. But that’s an actual drink as in 1 beer, 1 glass of wine, 1 shot of liquor. Not a 16oz styrofoam cup with 4 shots of bourbon mixed with sprite

It’s a poison that can give you a heart attack at those levels and for that long. Not to mention fatty liver disease.

But it’s so damn goood with Diet Coke!!!!

I know a guy who drank PBR all day every day from sunup to sundown. He put a 6 pack by his bed at night in case he woke up.

If he was awake, a beer was in his hand. He lived to be 89
