Your body does not need that much protein. You are probably flushing a lot down the toilet. #plantpower

230 g isn't hard

Of course it is. If you dont drink shakes or eat those shitty protein bars and actually eat real food, it's not easy to get there. I weigh 223 lbs right now and I take in approx 160-180 a day.

I've always wondered what the adequate intake of protein is per person. Right now, I get right at 100 grams with 2 protein shakes (Gold Standard), another 15 from a container of yogurt, and then add in whatever else I eat throughout the day. I guess I end up around 150 grams as well, maybe more depending on how much I eat and what I eat.

I am pretty much the same way. It goes up when eating a big meal on weekends. I just make sure I am getting at least 100 grams as I try to keep the calories kind of low a few times during the week.

I'm right at about 225 and I eat real food. it isnt really hard. You just need to make better choices on what you eat...Im serious.

ETA: I usually get right around 200-210 a day no problem.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I dont need to make better choices at all. I do make good choices. It may not be hard, but it's certainly not easy for the average person to consume 200+ grams strictly on food. Someone that is motivated to take in that much protein and is very conscious of their diet can take it in, but not the average person.

Exactly, 230 isn't shite, i can get that in one meal if i want. Do you guys never juat eat a pound of chicken thighs or ground beef? What about steak? Is nothing for me to eat 24 oz of steak in a setting.

Yea, and youre sitting at about 65-75 grams max right there. And you just ate 24 oz of steak. The average person doesnt eat a 24 oz steak.

Ummmm no, not even close to 75g. 24oz of ribeye is around 175-190g dumbass. Maybe that's why you cant get the protein you need, you don't know anything about the foods you eat. You are more then welcome to check. 24oz of ground beef is around 150g.

that was my point on making "good choices"

seems like they dont. Yes, eating 200g worth of protein with almonds is moronic stupidity.

Why waste calories and stomach space on nuts and the like anyways If you struggle to eat enough meat? Guess i just dont get it. They could never do dc training where you have to eat 2x bw in protein.

Ok, let's not get childish and start namecalling, dumbass. I admit, I was at an under exaggeration, but it was no far off than you suggesting "hmmmm, you guys act like its hard to consume 24 oz of beef, what are you, a bunch of pussies". Dont tell you you sit there and eat 24 oz of fricking steak because Ill tell you youre full of shite. You are eating 12oz or so, like a normal person does when they sit down to eat a steak, and 12 oz is approx 65-70grams. Dont act like it's normal or easily attainable for the typical person to eat that much in one sitting. If you would have said four 1/4 oz burger patties, then that is more believable. Ive done that before. Youre still talking 1 lb of pure meat, much less 24 oz. The only reason I responded to your original post was because it was ignorant and arrogant, basically talking down to people that think it's difficult to take in that much protein. Like I said before, it's not difficult, but it's not easy either. There is effort involved to get to 200, unless you eat a 24 oz steak for lunch, which I know you dont.

im not in this pissing match... haha, but just going to say, about once a month i will eat a 22-24oz steak and potato in one sitting like it isnt nothing. Im 5'6" 150lbs i dont know this guy but eating a 24oz steak isnt really that hard.
