I'd take the money. I already have 5 weeks PTO plus 9 holidays, unlimited sick days, work from home every Friday and several full weeks out of the year.

I'll also say that, it would depend on salary

at like 30k/year, 20% is much more beneficial than when you are making 100k/year

It's also only 6k compared to 20k. That is a large difference.

I'd take the 20% easily; already have plenty of vacation.

20% increase

I only work 3 12s a week anyways...I can work my schedule to where I frequently have 8 days off if I wish without using any vacation time.

Money, easily.

I don't take vacation days as it is, and my company has recently gotten rid of vacation days. Basically now, if you're manager approves it, you can have as much as time off as you want. So yeah, I'll take the money.

More $ = more responsibility (usually)

More responsibility = more stress or longer work hours.

More stress = shittier & shorter life

frick stress... I like to go home and give my family my undivided attention. Nothing sucks worse than going home and pondering work related shite.

Luckily, I found a job that pays really well and it's not too stressful.

Every job has stress, no matter how much money you make. It's how you deal with the stress.

I work from home with a flexible schedule that affords me time for my extra curricular activities around my work hours. Even with the stress, it's probably the best position I've been in.

Assuming I could actually take the two weeks? This.

I have a hard enough time trying to take two weeks, let alone 4.

Honestly... if we could just be more like the Europeans and have a 2 hour lunch and "siesta" everyday...

Agree, but then we'd be Europe and have European economic problems. We have enough lazy people in the US already, letting the most productive be lazy as well would screw us entirely.

Once you reach a certain point in a company, you can't afford to be away from the office for vacation.

this...when I am gone a few days from work it makes work really lame for about a week....catching uo on shite.

I'd take the money all day every day - I get 3 weeks as it is that my boss doesn't really monitor and can work from home pretty much anytime I see fit.
