There's a place in the Livonia area ( Google) and cypress depot in port barre.
I recently bought from cd and they were significantly cheaper

I would do wood.

When I built my house I used Kentwood used light poles they were very good looking, didn't have to finish them, and they have creosote in them so they will not rot or get bugs. They cut these poles square and sell them cheap compared to cypress or pine.

Phone Number

Here is mine:

I don't think I'd be using exposed creosote posts for a home. Aren't their health concerns related to creosote?

Horrible choices. They both burn easily and lose structural integrity over time. Get some aluminum posts out there, they'll last longer and stand up to the next hurricane or wildfire a whole lot better than the kindling you plan on putting out. You're welcome.

I had pine columns on front porch of my house. Was always repainting them because they faced the west and got brutalized by the sun. Finally replaced them with fiberglass columns bought from Dyke Industries. A lot better than the wood.

Only if you touch it or breathe around it. If you gotta go wood, then definitely get creosote soaked.

Only if you plan to use them as firewood.

I did have a smell for the first few months after that it went away.

When you are picking out the poles at the place if you get the ones that are lighter in color(more redish) they usually have been cut for the longest and have no smell or creosote left on the outside of them. They are the best looking ones as well!

Back 8 years ago prices were:

6x6x10 = $16.00 each
8x8x10 = $32.00 each

I picked them up from their location!

This is true. You will have to replace after a few hundred years
