Do people really get pissed off over this?

Don't give the feminazis more ideas

I love this. Give it up, honey, you're not a Hollywood star. I'm sure most people would actually appreciate the woman's respect for tradition in seeing the name change. Physicians and to some extent attorneys are insufferable with this. Actually, attorneys give in a little and seem to be serial hyphenators.
Evil, I think divorced women get an exemption here.
OP, you're getting a lot of downvotes. Looks like the OT has a lot of cucks.

My wife changed her last name but kept her maiden name in professional settings.

An attorney friend of mine married this chick from Vermont who didn't take his last name. She ended up having an affair with a dude and then a chick. And she's a vegetarian. True story

Probably both of their third marriages. Wedding will be ok, but call me for the divorce which will be much more fun!

A lot of female lawyers I know legally keep their last name, and socially go by their married name

Since most of our society now sees marriage as a temporary contract, it makes sense under those terms.
If we are talking about a lifelong covenant marriage when "the two become one" then absolutely not.
I really think two types of women do this. Lefties, who hate traditional customs, and women who are clueless about what a real marriage means.

Nuts to Butts this is about as insulting to a man's esteem as you can get.

Women who already have a well established career do this

Worse then someone disrespecting your citizen's patrol?

That's a major red flag.
Never ever marry a feminist.

Aggiebelle didn't want to change her name at first.
We had words.
She now bears my name

What if they just take the mother's last name? That's awkward too, imo.

Why do you care? Maybe she hates his last name.

? She probably did it for career reasons.
That's still a stupid reason. It takes 2 email to inform everyone you know in business of the change.

Seems like you have a major issue with this chick. Might be a good idea if you just skip the wedding all together.
