This is the world we live in. Individual threatens officer(s) with a knife, and the people who defended themselves are the ones being vilified.
This is irrelevant. You don't know what someone is capable of and I'd rather the innocent parties be 100% certain in defense of their lives than having to take a chance on someone breaking the law by being the aggressor with a weapon.

They should have just hit pause like I do when watching LivePD. Then they could have gotten her a proper psychiatric evaluation.

That's what I don't get about people when they say cops shouldn't use firearms. They use a tazer people are going to cry brutality. They use pepper spray they will cry brutality. They use physical force they call brutality and god forbid they beat someone with a baton nowadays.
