For her sake I hope not. She'll starve to death.

Let's take a look at who I was as a 10-year-old: I was in fourth grade. I played with Barbie dolls and had tea parties with imaginary friends. I pretended I was a mermaid every time I took a bath. I still thought boys were icky and I had no idea I liked girls, too. I wouldn't get my period for another four years. And most importantly, I didn't have a clue about sex.

She's apparently discovered her bisexuality.

She sounds really reasonable and fun to be around. Definitely the give and take type. I'd love to meet her husband.

Unfortunately some kids actually listen to the abstinence talk. It can begin to represent your faith. Once you realize that abstinence is unhealthy, your faith can completely crumble because it was build on a bad foundation.

What kind of church tells children they are going to Hell if they have extramarital sex??

A church that misinterprets scripture, aka Southern Baptists. Sex outside of marriage is definitely a sin, a sin which I am guilty of, but it isn't an automatic, one-way ticket to Hell.

He is saying that some kids are taught that their virginity is necessary to be a good Christian. Without it they would fall into irrevocable sin. It would be a sign that they lack faith. Then when/if they see that their urges are natural, it challenges their faith because they were taught that their Christianity was contingent on an abstinance that made them special.

Maybe, but this was about 10 years ago. Nothing fancy, just some supercut type place. I was never very demanding in those days.

Young earth stuff does this, but much, much worse.

As soon as a kid gets out of private school/their backwards church and finds out that evolution is settled science, the entire Bible seems completely fake.

My private, Christian high school created a lot of atheists this way.
