And that's bullshite. Really Gen Y is 1981-1991. The snowflakes start in 92.

Thank God I missed being a raging pussy by 6 months.

No fricking way. Maybe 80-82 and that's pushing it.

Don't respond to this missing chromosome..... he has no clue what he is arguing about majority of the time. Poor fella used to have an excuse for being drunk on cheap fence post, doesn't have that excuse for being an angry retard anymore.

Not necessarily based on years. Economic events, social change and technological advances weigh more than time

This

Boomers grew up in the prosperous 1950s,and 60s as teenagers and young adults were influenced and or participated in Vietnam and the Counter-Culture and other idealistic movements. Started and raised families in the 1980s and early 1990s and have spent their midlife managing the chaos of the War on Terror and subsequent economic decline, as they reach elderhood they continue to hold on to power.

X childhood was one of more average neglect if they were not aborted. Their parents were both likely to be working, or divorced. They were the latch key kids and their choice of music and culture was edgy and dystopian. Their young adulthood was marked by the disorder of the post Cold War era 9/11 and as they have reached adulthood have "enjoyed" the depression.

Millennials were a correction by late Baby Boom parents who saw Generation X as a disaster. Their childhood was sheltered within the institutions of daycare and schools which stressed Boomer idealism. They are more civic minded and want to play by the rules as articulated by Boomer elites.

We were also left in cars while our parents shopped, we walked and rode our bikes around town, and we stayed home by ourselves. We didn't grow up as a generation of puddings that need constant reassurance like the one that followed us. My 7 year old won't be given the opportunity to act like a millenial.

This one's ridiculous. If you were old enough to watch 9/11 unfold and understand how it would impact life, you should be considered a different gen than those who didn't.

Gen X was being named it was 1961 to 1981

So some some Gen X would be in their mid-50s? That doesn't seem right.
