I still have a small one without all that crap that I use for 2 cycle mix. But had to get the shitty one when I bought a bigger one awhile back.
Which I didn't shop all over town or anything at the time because I didn't realize what a PITA it was going to be. Just grabbed it and bought it.

I'm surprised those are even legal anymore.
They are technically "water nozzles".
But everyone uses them for gasoline because the EPA sucks.

I blame Obamas EPA
you should hear my dad when he's getting gas all over his hands, while trying to fill the generator at the tailgate.
he's not a fan of these.

I have two of those and two five gallon plastics I keep full of gas all storm season.
I hadn't got a new can in a while. Keep mower gas in smaller cans I fill up more regularly.

Dumbasses kept setting themselves on fire and sued Blitz. The new parts are supposed to keep the cans from blowing up, like if you drop your lit cigarette in there or if you're pouring gas on a bonfire on something normal like that.

But Blitz has filed for bankruptcy and will shut its doors at the end of the month. Why? Because it can no longer afford product liability insurance, Marketplace’s Sally Herships reports.
Deductibles for product liability insurance are often in the tens of millions of dollars, an expert in product liability law tells Marketplace. The rates go up even more if you have to use it, and Blitz is currently fighting 42 lawsuits.
Most of lawsuits against Blitz were brought by the same three lawyers,

No LA on that list... frick 'em. I put the EZ-Pour nozzles on all my cans. frick the environment.
Also, why are all those other states banning shite under the CALIFORNIA Air Resources Board? Cucks.

My local Ace Hardware sells the replacement twist-on nozzles for the old style cans. All I did was take one of those and use it to replace the new "spill proof" nozzles that come on the new cans.

I buy the blue "water" can with the regular spout. $16 each. Much lower than the $35 0bama can.

These new one suck balls, I spill way more gas using these stupid pieces of crap than I ever did before.
Some more idiotic nonsence

The rest of the story...
How Government Wrecked the Gas Can
"Some boating forums have suggested drilling a hole and putting a tire stem in there and using the screw top as the way to close the hole. Great idea. Just what I wanted to do with my Saturday afternoon, hacking the gas can to make it work exactly as well as it did three years ago, before government wrecked it."
"If they can wreck such a normal and traditional item like this, and do it largely under the radar screen, what else have they mandatorily malfunctioned? How many other things in our daily lives have been distorted, deformed and destroyed by government regulations?"
"If some product annoys you in surprising ways, there’s a good chance that it is not the invisible hand at work, but rather the regulatory grip that is squeezing the life out of civilization itself."

VP Racing gas cans on Amazon. Extra wide mouth for easy filling and flexible spout that fill faster than any of the "old style" red cans ever did.

I couldn't design a cap that spilled that much when filling a tank if I tried.
Only a government organization could f-up a simple gas can.

I just take the whole spout off and pour out the mouth, usually spill about 5% of it. Good work EPA
