Dr's say that the average person swallows 7 spiders a year in their sleep on average. Apparently the spiders are attracted to the moisture in your breath and they climb in. Spider related asphyxiation is a fairly common cause of death but coroners don't always catch it
Yeah that is actually a myth

Put me in the snakes >>>> spiders club.
Spiders don't bother me in the least but fvck any kind of snake. I don't care if it's a footling gardener snake I want no part of it!

Went to school with a guy who was always wanting to whip somebody's arse but would run like a scared kid from a spider

Because some people are vajayjays...as are the necks that put the flip-flops to them since they are sacred too.
Some of my photos of me holding those vicious beasts.

That is not a Banana Spider...that is an Argiope aurantia, among many accepted common names are Yellow Garden Spider, Black and Yellow Garden Spider, Writing Spider.
Nephila clavipes is a "Banana Spider".

The Golden Silk Spider, Nephila clavipes, often locally called the Banana Spider (due to its body shape and color), is one of coastal Louisiana’s most conspicuous arachnids.
In both situations, its a nickname given to it by locals. Google "Banana Spiders Louisiana". There are entire websites dedicated to Golden Orb Spiders that people call Banana Spiders.
Not saying you're wrong about the Central/South American spiders, but both are called Banana Spiders by locals and in neither case is "banana spider" their scientific name or classification.

Banana spider may refer to:
Cupiennius, a South and Central American genus of spiders
the related genus Phoneutria, known as "Brazilian wandering spiders", a South and Central American genus of extremely venomous spiders
Golden silk orb-weaver, a widespread genus of large but rather harmless spiders, noted for their large durable webs
Argiope appensa, a black and yellow spider on several islands in the Western Pacific Ocean
Banana spider myth, an urban legend regarding Huntsman spiders

I don't see how people are more scared of snakes than spiders. A rattlesnake or cottonmouth can't get in my shoe/clothes without me knowing it, but a brown recluse or black widow sure can, that's what creeps me out about those little effers

Agreed.
And spider webs are infuriating when you walk into one. Feels like the spiders are all over your body.

Samesies. I've taken a photo with an allegedly defanged cobra.(not taking some guy making $1,000 a year word for it) The snake itself doesn't bother me in appearance and I'll touch one I know that isn't poisonous. Those anacondas or what not.
Spiders I don't want to deal with really at all. Certainly not pet them.

In my vast studies of spiders I have determined that all of them are poisonous and should be killed.

True.
When I had my infestation a few years ago, those bastards were everywhere once I went hunting for them.
