Spiders and snakes do not bother me a bit. Roaches....now that is something I cannot abide. If I see a roach in my house, I'll literally rent a hotel room until the place gets blasted with pesticide by a professional.

I absolutely loathe roaches.

Very unique fear for a man.

They don't make noise and can kill you or at least ruin your week.

True.

When I had my infestation a few years ago, those bastards were everywhere once I went hunting for them.

That sounds simply terrifying and exhausting. Spiders in general don't bother me. Even a widow bite hurts like hell, but won't typically do lasting damage. Recluses though are a different story. I'm "deathly afraid" of those, mostly because of how hard they are to recognize/find.

Our next door neighbors just had a brown recluse infestation. I haven't seen any in our house, but I guess we've got to have them if the neighbors did. Of course, according to my wife every spider in our house is a "brown recluse". I think that is from her dad having a baseball size hunk missing at the bottom of his arse from being bitten by a brown recluse while in bed sleeping. This was at their lake house in Pickwick, so every time I'm in bed there if I feel the slightest itch/scratch/anything out of the ordinary I have to get out and make sure there isn't a recluse in bed with me

That is a garden spider, not a banana spider.
