Good for you? 4yr letterman as well. All district in Jr and Sr years too. Not trying to have dick measuring contest. A lot of teams in my area used this as a way to cool down especially in the summer heat. We had black helmets too. It was like a furnace when you put your hardhat on.

Basically spirits of ammonia mixed with water, has a evaporation cooling effect, just don't drink it.

Actually my senior year wasn't that bad since it was right after all the kids started dying around texas and other places.. they started giving us water then.. which was nice

I was just adding context to illustrate I did indeed play and had competent coaches. Just had never heard of FL water and was asking a question.

Thanks for the clarification Perry. Yeah we had coolers full of that. Didn't call it FL Water and sure as hell didn't drink it either.

I work in football so I don't miss it as much. A lot of us reminisce about when we played, but I sure as hell don't miss having to get to school at 5am and being there for 12 hours.

2 a days sucked, particularly when we didn't get but one water break a session. If we weren't doing well, we wouldn't even get that.
