Most of these people commenting have never even been to Mardi gras or have gone only to bourbon during this time. Most locals don't go to bourbon. Never see trashy people on st charles

Well that sure is a broad generalization. Fwiw I grew up in BR. Every year in HS I went to parades. I have actually only been to bourbon st once... Yea frick that place. Yet I still hate mardi gras. In fact I have only been to one parade that wasn't uptown yet it is still full of obnoxiously drunk high school maturity levels even from the eldest of the parade goers.
