We get 7 floating holidays added to our PTO. I prefer it that way. You get paid extra to actually work a holiday but it is done on a skeleton crew and you never actually have to work a single one because people volunteer. Downside to working in a facility that is 24/7/365, but I only work 3.5 days a week. Trying to get that down to 3 days a week.

Mine gives us MLK, but never has given us Good Friday, so I take a vacation day every year.

We get them all. Good Friday, MLK and MG. Maybe Juneteenth will become a holiday eventually. Peer pressure can benefit us.

My company swapped Good Friday for Juneteenth in 2021.

We have off for both MLK and Juneteenth.

Get MLK Day and Good Friday off... and last year we added Juneteenth.

Plus all the regular ones and a full week off (if not more) around Christmas.

I have off Good Friday, but the amount of people that think tomorrow is a banking holiday is out of control.

For us, we get floating holidays instead of forced holidays like Good Friday is a floating holiday and can be taken at any time....except MLK day, that is a forced holiday...you have to take off, so is the 4th of July, Christmas, Thanksgiving day only, and New Years day. How that's not racist to require you to take off on MLK day is beyond me.

Hell where I work people WFH during their kids spring break. I’m not opposed to that. Honestly I don’t ever remember Good Friday being a holiday at work

A company I worked for tried cutting out food Friday one year. Didn’t work out too well for them. They were warned when it was announced that they should rethink it but ignored the warnings. Out of 300 people only like 15 showed up. Suddenly the next year Good Friday was back on the calendar.

This is crazy to me. Good Friday should always be a holiday. If they wanna add MLK Day that's their choice but it shouldn't remove Good Friday

We've always had Good Friday. We recently gained MLK a couple years ago. Currently at 11 paid holidays and 2 floating holidays.

The company I retired from does not change days. I even had to go into the office in Metairie on Mardi Gras once.

Ironically they don’t pay us out for these two days if we leave the company so pretty much every one uses them as the first two vacation days of the year.

Did you learn about irony from Alanis Morrisette?
